Featured on Mums and Stories & She The People
Again a long-pending post which I wanted to put up on the blog before we bid goodbye to 2019! As I mentioned earlier too that 2019 is going to be all about travel and it proved right. In May, soon after the launch of my debut E-book, ‘Travel India with a Toddler‘, I was approached by Reshma Krishnamurthy from Mums and Stories who wanted to feature our travel story on their platform. It is always a pleasure to share our story with people who are interested in knowing it & that’s how we got featured on Mums and Stories blog.

That’s not all, a few days later, Reshma messaged me again to get my consent for republishing my interview on their partner platform, She The People Tv. It’s a huge platform for women to share their voice, I was so excited about this feature. Read it here…
We got featured on Mums and Stories & She The People
Neha Sharma, a keen traveller was told she cannot pursue further on her travel bug interest. Thanks to a life phase of stepping into motherhood. However Neha wanted to change this perception and began documenting her travels and show others it can be done, well in comfort. She also writes for Growing with Nemit, her blog on her travel experiences and life with her child, Nemit.
She’s also the author of an ebook, Travel India with a Toddler that talks on travelling with kids. This traveller mum has done quite a bit of travel with her child including a lot of variety in travels right from train journeys to riverside camping to International travels and more.

Talking of her journey, she shares with Mums and Stories, “ I was a single child. And I owe it to my parents. They fought with their families to raise me on their own terms and not the way that society dictates. I remember my parents replying to people that I am their daughter as well as their son. They were proud to say that. The trend was to have at least one boy child irrespective of how many girls have already been born.
My childhood was fun, I was pampered & heard and was given opportunities to take part in decision making.

Hahaha yeah it is surely fun but gets a wee bit tiring too. We have travelled to many places with our little one and then little.ones. hopefully we will continue once things get better.
I am sure you will, in fact, we all will travel once again once this corona scare calms down.
I am a travel bug too dear. When I become a mother I also thought that I won’t be able to explore the world like before. Gradually I started going to short excursion trips with my kid and eventually I started planning a long holiday. I travelled with my kid since he was only 3 months old.
That’s amazing, Richa. Travel lovers can’t stay away from travelling for long, they find a way.
Traveling alone and traveling with kids are equally enjoyable. Who says that after we have kids, we should stop to explore new places. Why not to make them also a part of our travel diaries. I am happy that you kept going. And congratulations for the feature.
There are many who say that but the idea is to ignore what others say and do what we think is right for us. Thanks, Alpana.
