Completely agree with you Neha. and even though I don’t want it to be True. It is true that having a girl child nowadays means a fear that anything could happen to her. Acid attacks, rapes, mutilations are becoming so common nowadays that its really scary. I wish somehow the society becomes kinder with time

Wow, lovely write up. I consider myself fortunate that I was raised by my parents to believe and act like I am, without bothering about the gender bias. In fact, my brother had more rules than we girls had. This is exactly what I’m planning to do with my son as well.

I consider myself fortunate for not having a gender biased atmosphere home or outside .. rules were the same for my brother and me 🙂
I believe equality has to begin from home

I agree , yet lots needs to be done. However we can keep writing on issues and keep spreading awareness. First thing that needs be done is being non judgmental . Women only put down women. That needs for change . Women need to raise their boys well. Women of daughters need to raise them without any gender bias. Only if women Join hands in this cause , we certainly will not need men’s support in the cause . Hope it changes soon.
