Mommy turned to Blogging

But I soon realized I don’t have any such talents in me. Continued…

To read Part 1- Click here.

Well, it’s a bitter truth which always hit me hard that I have zero talents. All my enthusiasm got crushed in just single realization and I came out of my dreamland.

But I had to do something to satisfy my urge to work. Apart from raising a child and managing a home. Hence, mommy turned to blogging.

I joined a parenting community ‘Babychakra’ and soon fell in love with it. I found solace, support, appreciation, friends, motivators, and source of inspiration all in one place.

Most of all, I was happy to share my experiences with fellow moms. I feel blessed that my advice was helping many moms to make informed decisions.

As I spent my days at Babychakra app, I found out about mom bloggers, they are super amazing moms with tons of experience to share with the mommy world and they are doing a great job.

Prior to this, I had a very little idea about blogging and the fascination pushed me to search for it. Google helped in enlightening me about Blogs and Blogging.

The more I read the more I wanted to know about it. And what better way to understand something than doing it on your own.

And there I was, sharing my ideas with hubby (it feels strange sometimes when he is always ready to support me but mostly it just makes me love him even more). July 2017, Nemit turned 18 months old and with that, I gifted myself ‘My Personal Blog’ to celebrate ‘Motherhood & Womanhood’.

One night I was happily and deeply thinking about all that was going on around, the first time in my motherhood journey I was happy being an ‘Owl’.

And suddenly the impression of ‘Zero Talent’ started hitting that little part of my brain which is meant to be the most emotional and replaced my crystal clear thoughts with the worst of worst ones.

Though, I did much research on how to start a blog I clearly missed searching about ‘skills required to become a blogger’ (or a successful blogger).

And there I was lying on the bed, eyes piercing through the ceiling. And heart sinking deep into the unknown space.

How can a person (read as exhausted, crazy, weird mom) with no talents start a blog, what was I thinking?

Can you imagine that pain which radiates from your heart and moves to each extremity of your body leaving you numb and sore? Yes, that’s what I was feeling at that moment.

But, the one thing which I vouch for after becoming a mom is to ‘Never Give Up’.

And what I remember further is spending the whole next day searching more and more. Just like a maniac to get the assurance that a person like me can start a blog.

And that too without any inherent skills and there I was reading a paragraph of one blog which says, ‘I think there are no certain skills required or defined to become a successful blogger.’ I was flying high!

Further, I read more and more on the topic and came to the conclusion that whatever is required can be learned with hard work and perseverance.

I shared ‘my idea of starting a blog’ with my new friends in the virtual world (at Babychakra) and got a high dose of motivation.

What else you need to move forward in life, I have the most lovable and supportive family and friends who are always there for their measure of motivation.

This blogging thing is becoming a major part of my life, there is so much to do, not just writing & sharing, but learning to write stuff which people love to read & use of social media for sharing your work.

There is a lot of research & creativity, reading & understanding, and tons of dreaming & planning. I am blogging as a new passion and it gives me a lot of satisfaction.

If you are a mom who wants to do something with her idle time. Don’t stop yourself from exploring your options.

If you are good at something, try working on it. And turn it into your job, your hobby can earn you money. And, if you have zero talents, just like me, try learning new things, nobody knows what the future holds.

Never limit yourself, just keep learning!

‘Never be afraid to try something new, because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know’ – Unknown
