The treks are not too difficult but there’s quite a lot of going up and down the hills so you may have to carry the baby. If possible, carry a baby carrier. If you are planning to trek to the double-decker root bridge, please consider hiring a guide. It gets cold at night even if the daytime is pleasant so go prepared.

i have a 2 year old kid will it poasible to trek with him?i plan to aoround 10th December will it become too cold?

Hi Aparna, I am glad you found the itinerary helpful. Yes, toddlers can trek if they like walking. We had to pick our son at some points but for the rest of the trail, he walked on his own holding our hand. Treks are bit tiring as they go down the hill and walking back can become tiresome if you don’t have good stamina. Trek to double-decker root bridge would be difficult with a toddler as one needs to cross a few steel bridges on the way. But you can visit the one near Mawlynnong village. Hi, thanks for a detailed itenary of your trip. I’m planning to visit meghalaya in the first week of Oct. Is it safe for a toddler to trek? Also, how long are the treks near live root bridges and famous waterfalls?
