One habit that has helped me a lot is shooting during the first and last hour of daylight whenever we can plan a stop around it – the softer light makes even phone photos look much better and saves a lot of editing later. Taking a few extra frames of each scene also helps, because there is almost always one where nobody is blinking.

For later touch-ups, I try to keep it light: straighten the horizon, crop a little, and maybe remove a stray object in the corner. Heavy AI fixes on crowded tourist spots or small signboards can look odd, so I keep the original file too, just in case.
